Chandigarh - Manali - Udaipur PACKAGE

DAY 1: Arrival airport and transfer to your hotel. Leave for Manali and reach there by late evening. Check into a comfortable deluxe hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 2: After breakfast we visit the 500 year old Hadimba Devi Temple built within a thick grove of gigantic Deodar; visit the Utopia complex a mini museum displaying local utensils, dresses and other local paraphernalia. Later crossing the River Beas turn left towards the ancient village of Vashisht with its curative hot sulphur springs. Visit the temple and then return to the market to go to the old Tibetan Monastery built sometime in the early nineteen sixties. Have lunch at one of the better restaurants in town and then head south after crossing the river to the ancient capital of the Kullu kings - the hamlet of Naggar. Here a castle is being run as a heritage hotel by the Tourism department; drive up to the charming cottage of the late Nicolas and Svetoslav Roerich. Nicolas Roerichs' home now an art museum displaying haunting landscapes of the higher Himalayas besides almost lifelike portraits of famous Indians. In the evening return to Manali and your hotel.
DAY 3: Drive to the small town of Udaipur in the Lahaul valley and check into your hotel. After lunch visit the Trilokinath temple across the Chandrabhaga River. In the evening return to your hotel.
DAY 4: Drive up the Miyar Valley floor almost a level ground alongside the Miyar stream and visit a few villages on the way. In the evening return to Udaipur for the night.
DAY 5: Drive back the same way to Manali where you check into your hotel. Afternoon and evening are free to shop around for handicrafts, the famous Kullu shawls and caps. In the evening return to your hotel for dinner and the night.
DAY 6: Leave early in the morning and drive back to Delhi a 12 hour drive. Check into your hotel for the night.
DAY 7: Leave Delhi early for Agra city where we visit the famous Taj Mahal, the Fort and the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. Return to Delhi by late evening in time for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 8: Entire day is free for shopping for handicrafts and other artefacts like clothing and jewellery and the likes. In the evening return to your hotel till its time for your onward flight to your next destination. International flights usually leave at night or early morning
